January 2007 - Prayer Letter

January 14, 2007 will be always be a special date for us.

On that Sunday we said goodbye to the people God has brought together in Delft. Although it was difficult to leave them, it was a thrill to see what God has done in their lives since He first allowed us to present to them the Gospel of Christ. During the evening service many of them expressed their gratitude to God for sending someone to tell them about God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Your investment in their souls was clearly demonstrated. We are thankful that God allowed us to have a part in seeing these precious people receive Christ, follow His

Word, and grow in grace.

We were also encouraged to see the leadership of Louis Mentoor as he assumes the total duties of pastor. He has the respect of the congregation and the desire to do great things for Christ. Pray for Louis and Berenice as they take on this tremendous responsibility.

We arrived back in the USA to begin our furlough on January 18. It was quite a physical shock to leave ninety-degree weather in Cape Town and arrive in Oklahoma City to temperatures less than twenty degrees. We are still adjusting to the winter weather, the time change and the great differences between Africa and America.

We covet your prayers as we travel during this furlough. We need safety and we want to be able to challenge others to follow Christ wherever He leads.

Serving Christ together,

Rex & Ginnie
