During our years in South Africa we have been able to acquire many of the basic appliances and other household items which will be useful in Ethiopia. We have a library of teaching material and other equipment to aid in the ministry. These items are either unavailable or very expensive in Ethiopia. The investment in shipping will, therefore, be tremendously valuable to the work.

Diesel generator: $3,000
Power outages are frequent even in Addis Ababa. Outside of the cities, less than one percent of the population has electricity.

4x4 Vehicle: $15,000
Even in Addis Ababa many of the streets are in such a condition that a four-wheel drive vehicle is the wisest choice. For any ministry outside of the city, it would be a necessity. This price would cover the cost of a used vehicle in reasonable condition.
